Sweet Passion
These tiny lovely bear shape French tea cakes are soft and springy with a slightly domed top and a lovely golden brown crust. Take a bite and you can taste the moist subtle flavor of butter, saffron, cranberries and almonds. Lovely in the afternoon with a cup of tea. The name "financier" is said to derive from the traditional rectangular mold, which resembles a bar of gold. Another theory says that the cake became popular in the financial district of Paris surrounding La Bourse du Commerce. Well I find the tiny cute bears are more adorable for me:)
